GATE GE syllabus 2025 is available here. The Geomatics Engineering syllabus is divided in 3 parts and each candidate has to appear in the PART A and PART B Section i & PART A and PART B Section ii.

GATE GE Syllabus Part Wise

The GE syllabus is divided into three parts, check below:

  1. Part A
  2. Part B Section I
  3. Part B Section II

These three parts are having different sub groups

  1. Part A consists of Engineering Mathematics, Remote Sensing, GNSS and GIS
  2. Part B (Section I) consists of Maps, Land Surveying and Aerial Photogrammetry
  3. Part B (Section II) consists of Data Quantization and processing, Data image processing, Radiometric and geometric corrections, Image enhancement, Image transformation and Image segmentation and classifications.

Geomatics Engineering GATE Syllabus 2025

The syllabus plays an important role for the preparation of the examination as a subject is having several topics and covering all of them becomes a huge headache that is why a syllabus is provided to focus on those topics which will cover up the major part of the subject and questions asked from those part can easily judge the meritocracy of the candidate.

GATE GE Syllabus

The following table shows the picturesque of the detailed GATE exam Syllabus 2025,

Part A consists of three subgroups,

Topics
Engineering Mathematics
Remote Sensing
GNSS
GIS

PART A GATE GE

Part B (section I) consists of 3 sub groups,

Aerial Photogrammetry

PART B GATE GE Section i

Part B (section II) consists of 6 subgroups,

Topics
Data Quantization and Processing
Digital Image Processing
Radiometric and Geometric corrections
Image Enhancement
Image Transformation
Image Segments and classifications

PART B GATE GE Section ii

GATE Syllabus for Geoinformatics

The GATE Syllabus for Geoinformatics and Geomatics Engineering are the same, as the term Geoinformatics is similar to Geomatics, but Geoinformatics is a subject which focuses more on surveying. In the GATE Examination, there is no separate subject shown as geoinformatics.
