According to Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, “the REET notification 2022 will be released soon by the RBSE.” The critical data will be provided in the notification. Like we mentioned, the REET is held to recruit primary and upper primary teachers in the state. The REET 2021 Level 2 exam was canceled for those of you not aware due to a paper leakage. The Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot himself confirmed this. 

The REET Level 2 2021 exam is going to be held in July 2022. Thankfully, the REET 2021 Level 1 process will go on for now because there was no paper leakage issue. It will now be organized again in July 2022. 

This is to let you know that the REET result 2021 has already been declared in the month of December last year, 2021 itself. Those who have passed can collect the certificates from the centers where they wrote the exams.

What is REET?

The full form of REET is Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher. The REET examination is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. They are also known as the RBSE. The exam is also called as the RTET. 

So, if you find both the names, then they are the same. It is held for the recruitment of primary and secondary teachers. In other words, there is a Level 1 and Level 2 exam. When you are qualified, you are issued with a pass certificate. 

According to the education minister, the REET certificate is valid for a lifetime. You do not need to appear for the examination often. Before 2011, teachers had to take the examination once in every three years to renew their teaching ability.

REET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Every exam has eligibility criteria. The REET exam also has eligibility criteria for you to know. To attend the REET 2022, you must meet specific criteria. They are provided on the official website. 

Firstly, you should be above 18 years of age. In India, 18 years is considered as an adult. However, there is no maximum age for the candidate for the REET exam. You can be in your 30s or 50s to apply for the exam. 

Since there are two categories for the REET exam, Level 1 for the primary teachers and Level 2 for secondary teachers, you must have obtained 50% marks during your primary school education along the graduation. 

You must have appeared or at least passed the 2-year diploma for elementary education to apply for the REET. If you are going to apply for the secondary teacher, then you must have obtained 50% in your basic education and 1-year B.Ed. Education for applying. 

REET Admit Card 2022

Every exam has an admit card. This is the most important document for appearing in the examination. Please ensure that you keep the admit card safely and do not lose it. In this case, it is an online application, meaning you will have to download the call letter. 

Once you have applied for the REET exam through their official website, you will be given a call letter. If you have not downloaded the admit card or do not have it in person, you will not be allowed to appear for the examination. 

The admit card consists of your name, DOB, photograph, signature, and exam center. You can find other details like the hall ticket number, schedule, exam level, and the guidelines that are mentioned on it. 

Please always keep an extra copy of the admit card if you are prone to losing things. Make sure to keep it somewhere safe. This will help you not to take it with you on the day of the examination.

The exam centers are present throughout the state of Rajasthan. You have the option of choosing the city or town that is neared or convenient for you. Based on that, you can select the place found on their website.

What is the REET 2022 Exam Pattern

The REET exam is held every year and comes with a particular pattern that all candidates must become familiar with. This helps you to attend the exam with confidence and do well. The REET 2022 comes in two levels, as you know. 

Each Level has its own pattern that we will read about below. Level 1 is for teachers from Class I to V. Level 2 is for teachers from Class 6 to 8 standards. 

  • The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.
  • The total number of questions is 150. 
  • The total marks are 150. 
  • The exam is offline conducted in the chosen exam center. 
  • You have a total of 5 subjects for Level 1.
  • There is a total of 4 subjects for Level 2.
  • The questions are of   Objective or Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The marking scheme is 1 mark for the correct answer. 
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

REET 2022 Exam Notifications

So far, there has been no notification on the official website. The notifications will be released for the Level 1 and the Level 2 exams. You will find news on the REET exam once they have given the notification. 

REET 2022 Application Form Process

To apply for the REET exam, you need to apply on the official website that has been given above. You can log in and then give your application through the official website of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. 

After filling up your personal details, you must also choose the preferred exam center of your choice. Then you have to pay the examination fee. The application fee for the REET exam for the general category is INR 500. 

The fee for the OBC is INR 500. The fee for SC/ST/PwD is INR 250. These were for the Level 1. For Level 2, the application fee for the general category is INR 800. The application fee for the OBC is INR 800. 

The application fee for the SC/ST/PwD is INR 500. These were for the Level 2 category. You have to pay according to the Level and category that you belong to.

  • Environmental Studies – Family, Clothes and Habitats, Profession, Public places and Institutions, Our Culture and Civilization, Transport and Communication, Personal Hygiene, Living Beings, Matter and Energy, Concept and scope of Environment Studies, EVS Pedagogy, etc.
  • Mathematics – Mathematics Pedagogy, Place Value, Comparison, Concept of fraction, proper fractions, comparison of proper fraction of the same denominator, mixed fractions, etc.
  • English Language –
    • Part 1: Unseen Prose Passage, Unseen Prose Passage, Framing Questions Including Wh-questions, English Pedagogy, etc.

REET 2022 Exam Result Date

You can enter your details to find out the results. They are the roll number and your DOB. These details are provided on your admit card. You can find the category, roll number, total marks, and your name on the results. 

The qualifying cutoff for Level 1, which is out of 150, is 60% for General/ OBC/SC. For ST, it is 36%. Likewise, for Level 2, which is out of 150, the qualifying cutoff is 90% for General/ OBC/SC.

For ST, it is 54%.

How to Prepare well?

Besides books, a candidate must know how to prepare well for the REET exam. The best way would be to go through the syllabus thoroughly. They must also revise using some of the previous year’s question papers. 

This gives them a good understanding of the exam questions and the pattern. As you know, the exam is divided into different subjects. You can prepare likewise for the REET exam. This helps you to write confidently.  

  • The language preparation can be done using the English books that we have suggested for you. You may want to brush up on your English skills. 
  • You may want to know that the paper is slightly lengthy. So, you have to ensure that your writing speed is good. When you are able to attend the entire question paper, your marks stand to be good. 
  • Each of the sections that appear on the paper is different. It would help if you had an idea of the format and pattern. This way, you can attend all the questions. The best way to do that would be to refer to some of the earlier papers. 
  • You may want to strengthen your weaknesses to ensure that you are prepared well. In a sense, if you are weak in a particular area, then we suggest that you put in some more effort. 
  • The subjects like science and math need some more preparation than most of the others. You might want to refer to some books and practice more problems. This way, you know that you can do well in the REET.

REET Vacancies

In total, there are 33,000 vacancies. The Board of Secondary Education declared this for both categories. For Level 1, there are 26,000 vacancies. For Level 2, there are TSP posts of 23,949. Similarly, in the TSP area posts, there are 4051 posts.

This totals to around 62,000 vacancies for REET 2022 Exam.

Salary of a REET Teacher

The salary of those who qualify in the REET exam is based on Level 1 & Level 2. For primary teachers, it is INR 24,000/month. You will be taking classes from grades 1 to 5. Usually, this salary is given only after getting recruited. 

Then you have a probation period of 2 years. Here you are provided only with the basic salary and no allowances. You are eligible for T.A., DA, and other bonuses that teachers usually receive when you are confirmed.

  1. What is REET, and who is responsible for conducting the exam? 

The REET stands for the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher. It is also known as the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET). They both are the same exam for the teachers’ recruitment in the stage of Rajasthan. 

The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) is responsible for conducting the exam in Rajasthan. If you are aspiring to become a teacher in the beautiful state of Rajasthan, then here is your chance to become one. 

  • How much is the cutoff mark to apply for REET?

Every exam has a cutoff to apply it. Likewise, the REET too comes with a cutoff mark category. Only when candidates can meet the cutoff and the exam criteria will they be able to apply for the REET.

For the REET 2021, the cutoff was categorized among the TSP and Non-TSP areas. It was also based on your overall merit in school and college. The cutoff for the General category was 130, and for the Female candidates, it was 130. 

For those who belong to EWS, it was 124; for OBC candidates, it was 127; and for MBC candidates, it was stated at 122. However, for S.C. candidates, it was 119, and for ST candidates, it was at 110. Those belonging to the Saharia have it 54. 

  • Is it worth becoming a teacher in Rajasthan?

This entirely depends on the individual. When you want to serve the students belonging to the beautiful state of Rajasthan, then you can apply. You are eligible for the Level 1 and Level 2 teaching groups through the REET exam. 

The people are helpful and friendly in nature. Besides, the state has some excellent opportunities for family people. So, it does not matter whether you are married or unmarried. You will easily be able to settle down in the state.

  • In REET 2022, how many vacancies are expected?

As we have already mentioned, close to 60,000 vacancies have come up in the state of Rajasthan. The government has announced and confirmed it through several notifications. The actual figure stands at 62,000. 

So, that is a lot of vacancies to be filled. If you are experienced in teaching and want to move your career, then you may want to apply for this exam. The chances of getting into the teaching line are pretty good. 

  • What is the maximum age to apply for REET?

For the moment, you have no maximum age to apply for REET, which is a good thing. So, it does not matter whether you are 30 years or 50 years; you can apply. If you feel capable and do not mind relocating to the state, please proceed. 

  • To apply for REET, what is the qualifying percent?

To apply for REET, you need to have scored at 60% in the REET exam. This will then make you eligible as TET qualified. Moreover, you may want to have decent marks through your educational life, i.e., 10th, 12th, and colleges degrees. 

  • What languages is the exam held?

To cater to the needs of most candidates, the REET exam is held in both Hindi and English languages. So, if you are comfortable in Hindi, which happens to be the national language, you can mark it on the online application form. 

Similarly, if you want to take the REET exam in English, then you can choose the Preference. Please remember to do this when you are applying for the REET exam on the online application form. 

  • How are you allocated the exam center?

If you have lost your REET application number, then you do not have to worry about it. That is because you can log in to the official website and choose the forgot password option. This will enable you to replace your password or application. 

As you know, the REET application can only be made through online. There is no offline option, and the board does not accept it. Please keep this in mind. You can effortlessly apply for the REET exam on their website that is given above.

What is the validity of the REET? 

The validity of the REET exam is for a lifetime. You do not have to retake the exam if you have qualified for it. Before, it was only valid for 3 years and not more. The decision was taken in 2011 and has been followed from then onwards. 

The TET mark remains until you retire.
